Get to Carousel Nissan of Iowa City to check out the 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV, the new king of the midsize sedan.

A funny thing happened on a test drive through Southern California with the good people of Edmunds. The 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV blew away the competition(2013 Honda Accord EX-L Navi and 2014 Mazda 6i Grand Touring) with its 39.7 mpg average over the course of the Edmunds 116 mile test route that included some Pacific Coast Highway ocean side cruising and some stop and go driving in downtown Santa Monica earning it top billing among the three four cylinder midsized sedans tested.  The outstanding mpg of the 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV was over five mpg better than the other two sedans.  Oh..did we mention it was the least expensive of the three cars tested($27,005) too?

Picture 5The folks at Edmunds are quick to point out that an outstanding mpg alone is not enough to be crowned king.  So, how did the 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV pull the upset over the 2013 Honda Accord EX-L Navi, which had recently bested the Toyota Camry in an Edmunds test?  According to Edmunds, in terms of ride comfort, storage options, seat comfort and cargo flexibility, the Accord EX-L Navi just couldn’t keep pace with the Altima 2.5 SV.  The Altima also comes with some other great stuff too, such as push-button start, navigation, rear A/C vents, rearview camera, a USB port and Bluetooth.  According to Edmunds, “our winner[2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV] is good at nearly everything.”

That’s great news for Nissan but even better news for you.  Stop into Carousel Nissan of Iowa City to take the 39.7 mpg-boasting 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV for your own test drive.
