Carousel Nissan is donating $100 per car sold from now till the end of Month for Breast Cancer Awareness

The folks of Carousel Nissan and Carousel Motors are choosing to support Breast Cancer Awareness month a little differently this year. In this month, when Breast Cancer Awareness is at the top of everyone’s mind, it’s especially close to the hearts of many staff at Carousel Motors, as at this time, breast cancer has hit a little close to home with a Carousel Motors family member.

To support Breast Cancer Awareness month, Carousel Nissan will be donating $100 from every Nissan purchased from now till the end of the month, with hopes of raising up to $3,000. Carousel also chose a charity that some may not be familiar with and it’s called Bras for the Cause.

Bras for the Cause provides funding for programs to ensure that all Iowans who are either uninsured or underinsured have access to mammograms and cervical testing, as well as to provide grants for related projects. They raise money by working with organizations like Carousel Motors and by hosting a Gallery of Bras and a Gala event that showcases bra art by Iowa artists. See their website for more details.

“We chose Bras for the Cause as a charity for our sales event because they can earmark these donations to be used specifically for mammograms for women in the Iowa City or Cedar Rapids area who can’t afford them. We felt the best way to support this cause, was by directly helping women in our community.” says Pat Lind, General Manager.

Paul Trovas, General Sales Manager of Carousel Nissan, is excited about this charity sales event, “If you thought you might want to purchase a Nissan in the near future, now is the time. $100 pays for one mammogram for a woman who might not otherwise have gotten one.”
